Do I really BELIEVE? Reblog

In last week post I touched on the culture of the WOF movement and of those that have exposed their error. This week I just want to expound briefly on some of the highlights of last week. After reading this I would strongly encourage you to reread Lord I believe!?. If you haven’t read it at least once read it now before going further.

Do I really Believe? is this posts title and a question that we must ask ourselves. If we believe then the question develops into “what do I believe? Not to long ago I had a conversation with a friend of mine about the origin of religion. Not our religion as some would call it but ALL religion. Now I’m no historian, and I failed the one theology class I’ve ever taken, but I welcome any that would challenge what I have to say. First I would like to say that I am not in a religion but rather by faith have a relationship with Creator of all things (God) through Jesus Christ. So again all religions were created to address the three questions that ALL of us at some point ask. 1) Were did we come from? What is the beginning of everything? 2)Why do I exist? How to fulfill my purpose 3) What happens when I die? Are they any consequences? Because the bible addresses these three sufficiently for me, I see no need to look for answers with the attempts of others. In other words I haven’t studied the books used by any religion.

I mentioned how Eve knew God’s word concerning her. I’m not just talking about “not eating the fruit” but having also addressed the first two of the questions, because at that time, death didn’t exist. She knew it, but she was deceived. Adam knew it as well although not deceived he aborted God’s plan that he should live forever and not experience death. My point is they both KNEW and failed. How can we even have a chance at knowing without daily pursuit of God? God has so graciously given us His inspired word in the bible as it stands, the 66 books we have today. See after reading we must meditate (God’s Word). After meditating through the Holy Spirit and prayer we begin to comprehend it’s meaning specifically to us. God fellowshipped with Adam and Eve in the cool of the day. It was an everyday thing. It was their custom as it were. I challenge you to along with me daily seek to know the God of the bible through prayer and study of his word. Truly allow His word to light our path in this life. Too many of us are ashamed or should be ashamed because we don’t really know what the Bible says about too many things pertinent to success in this life. Worse yet many would seek the answers in other ways other than God’s word.

Grace & Truth,

II Timothy 2:13-16

13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself. 14 Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.

About liv4Christ4ever

Seeking to promote true life through Jesus Christ by making the Gospel relevant to our lives today. Presenting the word of God as the final authority on how we as believers, hypocrites and those yet to believe should live in order to please our Creator. One thing is sure, the creature (all creation) was created for a purpose. We will do well by acknowledging our Creator and using His gift of free will to accomplish His purposes. According to scripture “Every knee will bow (Submission) and every tongue will confess (Confession)” to Jesus Christ the Lord. We just choose to submit and confess Christ’s Lordship daily that we might live with Him now and forever.
