Everyday from the time we awake until our eyelids close in slumber we are presented moment by moment with a choice. Choose Christ! That was an excerpt from a post back in February. I know many of you had hope for change with our current President. No this is not a forum to bash him or any other politician.
But how can any leader be good, without God?
Scripture says you CANNOT serve two masters. God says if you try to be a third option, Lukewarm, he will spit you out. People of God we can no longer crowd the sidelines hoping that someone with spirit of God would get on the field and play for our team.
You can’t legislate obedience to God’s word but that’s no excuse.
I heard a prominent Bishop say nonchalantly not to be surprised at the world being the world. To which I agree. I’m glad that wasn’t all he had to say. He also said how we (Christians) have moved away from the Gospel. My Bishop calls it the “simplicity of the Gospel; Death, Burial and Resurrection”. The church has become more concerned with how to “prosper” (get things) than with sharing Christ and winning souls.
Without Christ there is NO hope and the only change will be damnation!
Christ will return and He told us to occupy until He comes. It seems that the Church has been concerned with occupying things other than the great commission. In other words doing everything except God’s purpose for our lives. We spend almost all of our time working for money then we spend most of what’s left (of our time) relaxing & entertainment.
It’s hard to imagine now God ever seeing fit to force mankind to rest.
So we were commanded to rest 1 of 7 days. In modern times we work 5 and rest 2. The bumper sticker says “I’d rather work 2 and fish 5” . Jesus says for us to work while it’s day for when night cometh no man can work. We should be about our Father’s business and not always seeking the comforts of this world. Jesus said that the world would love it’s own and that we would be hated for His name’s sake. If we fail to share His Gospel then we have denied Him, and the power of the Gospel. How shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation? If we open our mouth and confess not then we DENY Him. If we confess Him with our mouth but deny Him in our actions then we DENY Him.
Like it or not you WILL choose!
Heb 2:1-4 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?
Luk 12:8-9 Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God: But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.
Rom 6:1-2 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Gal 2:17-21 But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid. For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
