If the Bible is God’s word then….

Last week while preparing the post Subtle Serpents “Did God really say?” The thought occured to me to ask you and everyone at some point to “Imagine for a minute or two that the Bible is God’s word.”

Now before you do this exercise I literally mean at least 60 to 120 seconds of considering this one thought and it’s implications to you.

How the creator thought so much of us that live at this time that He would provide access to everything we need to pass this test we call life & place it in a book we call the Bible. Take some time now before continuing to consider

if the Bibe is God’s word then…

If the Bible is God’s word what would you do differently?

Would you read it more? Daily or multiple times a day?

Would you keep skipping over words, concepts and ideals that don’t readily relate to your present situation?

Would you invite the Holy Spirit to teach you application of scripture in your life?

Would you alter your behaviors?

Would you agree with God that Jesus is the only bridge between God and man?

If the Bible is God’s word does that scare you?

If you thought this exercise was helpful be sure to share with those you love and those that God loves on Facebook & Social networks

About liv4Christ4ever

Seeking to promote true life through Jesus Christ by making the Gospel relevant to our lives today. Presenting the word of God as the final authority on how we as believers, hypocrites and those yet to believe should live in order to please our Creator. One thing is sure, the creature (all creation) was created for a purpose. We will do well by acknowledging our Creator and using His gift of free will to accomplish His purposes. According to scripture “Every knee will bow (Submission) and every tongue will confess (Confession)” to Jesus Christ the Lord. We just choose to submit and confess Christ’s Lordship daily that we might live with Him now and forever.

  1. Interesting read however, wording is everything and the phrasing assumes the Bible is not taken seriously as an instructional text. Despite some thinking it a work of fiction to others betting their lives on its contents, I believe a better way to ask the question, thus eliciting a better answer would be “Assuming the Bible to be God’s word, would you do anything differently?”
